Mortality Causes in U.S. States and Counties

This database reports causes of death in U.S. states and counties. For confidentiality reasons, death totals of 1-5 in counties are suppressed. (However, death counts of zero are reported.) The source for these data is the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For additional information, see the National Center for Health Statistics.
