Persons Naturalized by Country of Birth in U.S. States

This form reports the number of persons naturalized by country of birth and state or territory of intended residence by fiscal year. Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is conferred upon foreign citizens or nationals after fulfilling the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Data were obtained from administrative records of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) of the Department of Homeland Security. These records consist of information from applications for naturalization. The source is the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
