Funding Positions for CalPERS Risk Pools

This database provides reported assets, values, and funding levels for CalPERS risk pools. Data returned indicate aggregate funding information for the entire risk pool (e.g., 2% at 55, 2.7% at 55, etc.), not that of an individual government agency. To view government agencies that are members of CalPERS risk pools cited here, see Funding Positions for CalPERS Members in Risk Pools. Note that the "Inactive risk pool" consists of miscellaneous and safety plans. Years indicate fund values on June 30th. All data are in dollars unless otherwise indicated. A negative unfunded liability (UAAL) indicates a surplus. The source for these data is the State Controller's Office.
