Enrollment Statistics

RAND California Enrollment Statistics contains the number of enrolled students at a specified grade level, district and/or school. These data are collected through the California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) effort, which occurs in October of each year. Thus, data reported for each year reported reflect enrollment for that academic year, e.g., data reported for 2004 reflect the 2004-2005 academic year.

The categories "other" elementary and "other" secondary students reflect ungraded students. Total enrollment figures exclude any adult enrollment. For more information on CBEDS, see California Department of Education. The data source is the California Department of Education.
