Number of Hate Crimes

A person's race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or physical or mental disability is the motivation for a hate crime. The number of hate crime events is reported for cities, counties, regions, and the state. Statistics are based on California Department of Justice data.

Note, data for number of offenses, victims and suspects
is only available beginning in 2002.
